The idea ...

In our opinion talented young musicians have a much better chance with their careers in the ever changing music market if their abilities extend beyond their artistic education.

We want to offer talented young people practical assistance to permit them to better cope with this demanding market.

This line of thought led to a private initiative establishing the charitable foundation in 1994 in Warstein-Belecke. The aim of the Foundation is to offer young musicians courses which complement their artistic education in the sense of helping them to embark on their careers.

... and putting it into effect

What we offer is based on three pillars, designed to make it easier for young talented musicians to explore new fields of activity in the music market:

  1. Seminars on the A-B-C of a music career pass on the knowledge of professional musicians about their own practical experiences regarding stage presence, concert dramaturgy and moderation, mental training, public relations, communication technology and organisation and management. They also give guidance on taking advantage of niche opportunities and possibilities and gaining podium experience.
  2. Concerts by scholarship holders are events requiring proof of podium maturity where the public comes to judge the experience gained by the musicians. The Foundation spends much time and effort in arranging podium performances (mainly for ensembles) in commercial undertakings and associations.
  3. In addition to artistic competence the participants are expected to possess an understanding which extends beyond the limits of their own fields of activity and shows socio-political responsibility.

Our partners

Common goals towards helping young musicians succeed in their careers resulted in our cooperating with the ?Jeunesses Musicales Deutschland? (Young Musicians in Germany). Because of this we transferred our office to Weikersheim in 1999.
